The Origins of Totalitarianism

Hannah Arendt's masterpiece of political history and analysis. Her aim is show how the two major totalitarian movements of the twentieth century, Nazism and Stalinist communism, were born out of the birth of antisemitism as a political movement, the onset of imperialism as a strategy, and the subsequent decline of the European nation-state.
